On Monday me and my group sat down and just read through the first scene in order to get used to the script and the language of it etc. On Tuesday my group had a session with Sharon, where we went of into groups and then we wrote down things we know about the play so far. So far I've found that in the play there is a big family and because of that this causes a lot of arguments and altercations, they also blame each other for things which shows that they don't really have individual responsibility. The main themes of the play are: money love drama Characterisation within chekov is mainly about discussion on the rehearsal floor about who is saying that and why your saying that, and that is why it is essential to really understand your character which results in a good performance.
